The actor and director of "Don't Worry Darling" won a legal battle in California after the judge determined that their two children, Otis, 8, and Daisy, 5, were lawful residents of the state.

This comes after the 38-year-old actress alleged that the 46-year-old "Ted Lasso" actor, who wanted the kids to call New York home, issued the custody papers in April "in the most violent way conceivable" as she was participating in a panel discussion about her new movie at Comic Con.

In the court filings, Olivia, who is now romantically linked to pop singer Harry Styles, 28, stated: "Jason's actions were plainly designed to frighten me and catch me off guard. He had the option of serving me quietly, but he went for the most forceful approach.

It goes directly against the interests of our children that Jason would disgrace me professionally and put our private dispute on display in this way. I filed a petition for custody in Los Angeles since Jason has made it apparent that we won't be able to resolve this for the benefit of our kids outside of court.

The former "SNL" actor planned to submit the move, but he didn't want to do it so spectacularly, a source said at the time.

"Papers were prepared to establish jurisdiction of the kids of Ms. Wilde and Mr. Sudeikis," they said. He would never allow her to be treated in such a disrespectful way.
