Britney Spears Posted A New Instagram Message Saying “A Huge Part” Of Her “Has Died” Since Her Sons Stopped Seeing Her.
Britney Spears revealed why it's been so essential for her to utilize social media to speak what's on her mind — even if it has caused problems in their relationship — in a series of voice messages on Saturday. She also discussed how saddened she has been that her boys had cut off touch with her.
The pop queen, her ex-husband Kevin Federline, and their boys Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, have been engaged in a public back-and-forth. Federline revealed to the Daily Mail last month that the boys had stopped talking to their mother because of the way she used social media, and Jayden said in another interview that he believed she was obsessively posting on Instagram to get attention.
Jayden also backed his grandfather Jamie Spears' decision to place music singer Britney Spears under a conservatorship, a court order that governed her life for nearly 14 years. Britney was unable to open up about her experiences for the majority of that period; a judge only concluded that it was time for the conservatorship to terminate after Britney referred to it as "abusive" in a contentious court proceeding.
Initially, Britney's response to her son's interview focused on his disrespect for her and his alleged resentment over the fact that she will no longer be paying child support once he reaches 18. She stated that she has more to say on Saturday.
Britney went on to say that she has come to terms with the fact that she is truly upset with Jamie, whom she expressed hope would burn in hell with her mother Lynne Spears, and that she has spoken directly to her sons about how much she still cares for them.
She added, "I'm so lucky to even call you mine, and I just want you to know I'm sorry. Ignorance caused me to say "no," and I'm telling you guys because my father was the intended recipient.
She also mentioned how terrible the fight with her boys had been, at one point claiming that they had blocked her, stopped visiting, and missed her wedding.
Britney remarked, "I've honestly felt like a major part of me has died since they've been gone." They were my pleasure and my everything; I looked forward to seeing them since it was what I lived for. Now, I literally have no purpose.
However, she said, after being denied a voice for so long, she is not going to quit speaking in public. She disclosed that in order to recover from the loneliness she felt throughout the conservatorship, particularly during the time she was compelled to spend in a rehab center, she has been attending weekly therapy sessions as well as participating in horse therapy. She continued by identifying herself as an introvert while leading a performing career and said that she has always struggled to open herself.
